Kargil Vijay Diwas was celebrated on 26 July 2021 to commemorate India’s gallant victory over Pakistan on this day in 1999.
It is held every year to honour those who laid down their lives for the Motherland.
General Officer Commanding 9 Corps, Lieutenant General PN Ananthanarayanan, was the Chief Guest.
DC Kangra, Dr Nipun Jindal and SP Kangra, Shri Puneet Raghu also attended.
In addition, many serving and retired services officers and civilians attended.
All present honoured the memory of the ‘Fallen Soldiers’ by laying wreaths and flowers and observing a few moments of silence in their memory.
